Wearable Noise Level Monitor
7 Finnish students from the Tampere University of Technology have developed a noise level monitor that is built directly into a T-Shirt. The t-shirt is not currently on sale - it’s a proof of concept prototype developed as part of their research into wirelessly rechargeable wearable technology. They chose to make a noise level monitor but the concept includes plans for more complex, fully wearable devices.
The unit is entirely self contained making it fully washable. It recharges when you hang it on its special hanger containing an induction loop.
The concept is superb and I would expect to see similar designs on sale in club wear shops soon.
