RaveAid at The Sanctuary 20 August 2005

If you listen to the nay-saters and the “real music” elitests, they’ll tell you that dance music is dieing. That clubbing is just not what it used to be. Anyone who had to stand at the back of the 100 yard queue for RaveAid at The Sanctuary run by B2T will tell you they’re wrong.

B2T know how to put on a night that’ll show you how clubbing is supposed to be. 4-Club were there at the invite of Barry Diston as he took the Fidget Dance Music production studio on the road again for one of his critically acclaimed live performances.

The Sanctuary was rammed with clubbers who were up for it and, contrary to public opinion, who were prepared to dress up for their night out. A good selection of DJs slowly built the atmosphere through the night to the Hard House Anthems set at 1am from JP & Juksy and then, at shortly after 2am Barry Diston absolutely tore the room apart.

This was clubbing how its supposed to be. It takes me back the good old days of Kenitic, Altern8 and the old raves. Have faith. The club scene is alive.
