Happy First Birthday Adjamiba Fluffies
On 14 December 2004, Adjamiba Fluffies placed its first listing on eBay.co.uk for a pair of custom-made Fluffies (Fluffy Legwarmers, Fluffy Boots – call them what you will). As with all of its subsequent products, these Fluffy Boots were designed by Adjamiba’s owner, Emma, based on the Fluffy Boots she had made for herself and her friends when clubbing at Tidy Events, Slinky Bournemouth and Creation in Bristol.
Just three months later, demand for its products had turned Adjamiba’s eBay store into a full time occupation for Emma and, together with excellent customer feedback, brought it the sought after “PowerSeller” Status. Now, as Adjamiba reaches its first birthday, it employs 2 additional seamstresses and has temporarily suspended orders ahead of Christmas to ensure its usual high standards of customer care for the vast amount of customers who have already ordered. As it goes into the start of its second year, Adjamiba is about to launch its own clubwear site, is ready to announce new ranges of club wear and is in talks to increase the number eBay and online retailers reselling the Adjamiba range. The Fluffies have become a favourite with clubbers and professional dancers, feature in several photo shoots (warning – adult content) and can be seen in many of the clubbing photo galleries.
Adjamiba has grown from a “pocket money” hobby into a genuine cottage industry through the quality, value and distinctive design of its products. It has supplied over 5,000 items to in excess of 3000 customers. Emma’s fluffy legwarmer designs, and those of the bras, skirts, armwarmers, cyber outfits, dancewear and cuffs she has since added to Adjamiba’s range, have developed out of the products that her clubbing friends and then her customers asked for. Her clothes have become the inspiration for a whole new industry of clubwear sellers on eBay yet they still remain individual and great value for money. Emma keeps ahead of the competition by constantly adding new products to the already extensive range of designs and has plans for new products to last through at least another 6 months.
Adjamiba’s current range of Fluffy Legwarmers includes the original “plain” design fluffies, 2-tone, 3 colour and multi-tone fluffies plus ribbon fluffies and the unique Hi-Viz range. It also welcomes requests for custom designs.
4-Club first came across Adjamiba’s Fluffy Boots back in April of this year and has watched and reported as the company has prospered and its range has grown. We would like to wish Adjamiba a very happy 1st birthday and congratulate Emma on her success so far.
And the name? Adjamiba was an Egyptian Princess who was renowned for her hedonistic wild parties and exquisite taste in clothing. It is also an abbreviation of Emma’s son’s names ADam JAmes MIchael BAteman. (One of these statements is false – but sounds good).
Update: Adjamiba has now launched its new website.

You should visit Adjamiba at its eBay shop:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ADJAMIBA-FLUFFIES
or at:
http://www.fluffyboots.co.uk/
It would appear however that, due to the huge popularity of their products, new orders are not currently being accepted until 31 March 2006.
